Taslima is an Associate Lecturer in Product Design at Cardiff Metropolitan University and is also currently an independent Doctoral Researcher at the Transtechnology Research Centre at the University of Plymouth.

She has been teaching since 2004 and previously held the position of Senior Lecturer teaching on the BA (Hons) Interactive Media programme and was acting Programme Leader on the MA Design by Practice programme, at the University of Wales, Newport.

Taslima's inter-disciplinary and multidisciplinary teaching focuses around Design and Technology both Practice and Theory and Cultural studies. It also spans Interaction design process, Audio-Visual-augmented environments, Interface Design, Cultural and Postcolonial theory in relation to technology, Website Design, 3d Animation, Games Design, Professional practice: E-portfolios, Design Documentation Methods, and Research Skills. She also teaches software proficiency in a wide variety of programs.
