Tutoring approach

It depends on the age of a student.
With the kids I usually work in a game way, where we have different materials, as flash cards with different pictures on it, different songs for kids, a lot of singing and improvising together. I usually involve their parents in to the lesson, so that they all have a lot of fun. With the older students i am more methodical and detailed, but still we listen to recordings together so that the students knows how to listen and not just play.

 

Professional experience

I have been teaching different age groups and different levels. Was working at the primary school for one term where I had a few piano students.

Also had couple of 14/15 year old students who were getting their grade 6 and 7 in piano.

I was also teaching a student who before studying with me finished BMus at the RNCM
