Competent in the use of Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet and Email. Enjoy reading an array of literature. Keen interest in sport such as Tennis as well as outdoor recreation. Enjoy debating and have been part of the debating team at school and sixth form.
April 2011 – Volunteer at a local primary school to help pupils in their maths lessons.
A Levels: Psychology (A). Maths (B), Biology (C).
12 GCSEs including Maths, English and Science with A and A* grades.
My teaching style varies on what the student enjoys and prefers. Some of the main ways I like to teach and revise myself include creating mind maps, using words, colours and pictures to try and get down the key point of an area of work to focus and work on. I find these easy to use when wanting to revise and if you are a visual learner colours and images used on mind maps can help you remember.
I also use module guides/specifications and textbooks to help aid learning and to form a basis on what students want to revise. Using textbooks can help pick out the key points needed for learning.
The best form of revision, learning and practice is by doing past exam questions. I like to go through these and show step by step how to work out an answer or how to go about answering a question. Doing past exam questions leads you into exams knowing what the question wants and helps you get in a lot of practice.
